April's development insights

April update and progress!
We hope you all spent your Easter Holiday with family and friends, in great harmony and pace! This update will cover our accomplishments in the past week and it will introduce a handful of improvements.
Our development progress
Past week with good progress, we are still in lookout for catching unfair players. Couple of in-game events start today and more information about them.
Thanks to our developer team (Liam, Sema, Ane, Araf and Alek), we are now 340+ commits ahead of our old/previous code base with over 300+ files and 40,000+ lines of code! We managed to complete and resolve serious problems including networking, configuration, transactional player updates, data structures, efficiency, speed, power and more!
We will update you with more insights on development results throughout the coming weeks as we improve and develop a handful of features day after day!
Our recent and most devotion of focus in development was to improve the structure of the server, reliability and security. On top of that we are now able to re-implement rest of the important and basic features, and modern improvements to server such as monster AI and pathfinding.
We have discovered every animation time and frame which allows us to develop smoother transitions between actions of players and monsters! This means that we can now distribute more detailed and accurate states which resolves issues with player flickering or lagging.
Monsters will be far more intelligent in avoiding obstacles or holding to a point (shields, forms), allowing us to introduce more fun and entertaining events on InfiniteSky! In addition implementation of monsters introduces smoother and more reactive behaviour.
Lost items resolved!
We have also prioritized steps towards saving every important action, such as trade or pickup. Which means every change in InfiniteSky world will be instantaneously saved to database making sure that no more frustration from lost in-game items due to rollback of service interruption.
Website and Launcher deployment
New website and launcher got a shed of development light as well and a little peak available any time soon. The new development system will allow us to develop, test and share more improvements!
We still got our hands full of testing and creation of awesome content and improvements, and in the meantime, we are looking to the current issue of zone crashing and we hope to develop a fix as soon as possible!
